When I was overweight, I thought, “you know, it’s not so bad. I can live with this.”

But then one day, my chest started to ache, and I thought I was having a heart attack.

Losing excess weight, or Losing the fat; flab and pounds on your body is not the only thing that matters about weight loss.

Of course, by putting in the hard work of exercising and dieting, you will be able to create a slimmer, leaner, and sexier physique.

But it is not just the body that performs all the hard work because everything that the body does must start from the mind.

Keep in mind that when you have no willpower, determination, and dedication to your weight loss goals, you are more likely to fail at the task.

To be able to start losing weight, you need to set realistic goals in your mind that you can work towards. Here are three tips to do so.



Action driven goals:


When you are losing weight to have better health, the beginning step is to have specific goals, that will cause you to take positive action steps.

Basically, you will be asking yourself the activities that you must do to achieve what you have set out to do from the first day.

There are two main objectives that are specific to weight loss; namely diet, and exercise, which can be put in two columns.

Write down the specific steps for each objective under the columns.

The objective is the long-term goal; such as an hour a day, and the specific is the beginning goal, such as 15 minutes a day. Then the amount increases a specific number every week; say 5 more minutes, until you work your way up to your objective.

When you are trying to fulfill your exercise goals, what is important is getting the total exercise to attain, not what time you do it. Great benefits will achieve as you regularly do incidental exercising.

Exercising throughout the day at various times is what incidental exercise is all about, such as walking or doing sit-ups.

There are lots of ways to get incidental exercise by walking, such as parking farther away or taking the stairs.

You can find tips for losing weight throughout the internet, especially how to get manageable targets out of unreachable goals.

Energizing aims:


Aims that you have a real passion for, they become your energizing aims. Passion, heart, and motivation go together, and when you have them your goals will accomplish.

There will always come a time when it gets tough enough that you will want to quit.  Weight loss demands are tough to keep up since there will come a time when the physical work will be too hard, or the mental determination will fall away.

Being happy is important to most people, and quite often the passionate desire to be happy is their reason for wanting to lose weight.

Weight loss is personal, so you need your own reason for losing weight. The only thing to keep you going to lose weight is because that is what you want.



Losing Excess Weight Rewarding goals:


These are obviously set so that you can pat yourself on the back. Achievement is more easily attained by a person who is increasing in a positive way, even as an infant.

It is easier to remain motivated to do better; and have higher aims when we are being rewarded in some way, whether physical or psychological.

You will this to be no different when setting goals to lose weight. Aim at achievable goals you know you can reach easily.

Something like losing 2 pounds, would be an achievable goal to aim for. When you reach that goal, you can reward yourself with a positive motivator before setting the next goal for yourself.

In conclusion, setting goals for losing weight is about being smarter about the process.

Making goals, especially for weight loss, is simply determining what you want to accomplish; making sure they are reachable goals, and then writing them down.
