I’m a 37-year-old wife and mother of three. I had my two youngest children back to back. They are only 13 months apart! After my last pregnancy, I packed on a lot of weight. I was so unhappy with myself.
I decided to live a healthier lifestyle. I started working out and meal prepping consistently. It wasn’t easy at all, and I faced many obstacles along the way. However, I was determined to achieve my fitness goals!
What was your workout routine?
I started by mainly doing cardio 5-6 days a week. As my fondness for fitness increased, I became interested in strength training. I eventually incorporated it into my workout regimen as I educated myself on its many benefits and proper form. I have since obtained my Personal Training Certification and am working to build my fitness business!
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped drinking sodas and other sugary drinks. I stopped eating out and started prepping my meals for the week. Every Sunday, I prep clean meals for breakfast (overnight oats) and lunch (turkey burgers, a healthy carb, and a veggie). I love Meal Prep Sundays! I also aim to drink three liters of water a day.

I weighed just over 200 pounds when I started my journey. I currently weigh 145 pounds.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to remain consistent and not get discouraged if the results aren’t coming as quickly as I’d hoped.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Patience and consistency are key. Work hard and enjoy the journey!
